It starts with a counter of candies and a few odd buttons, then slowly opens up into a full adventure. A charming, quirky browser game told in ASCII art.
Candy Box 2 is made by aniwey, with ASCII art by aniwey and other credited artists. You begin with a growing pile of candies and simple choices such as eating them, throwing some on the ground or spending them to request a new feature from the developer, and the game unfolds gradually from there. Its ASCII art includes a world map and places such as a village, a lighthouse, a cave, a castle and a sorceress's hut. It runs in your browser with no ads, and the creator welcomes donations, which help cover server costs, through the FAQ page.
