Lugaru (open-source edition)

A 3D martial arts adventure starring Turner, a rabbit warrior seeking revenge. Fast, physics-driven melee combat with counters, kicks and weapons.

Lugaru was created by Wolfire Games, and this open-source edition is maintained by the OSS Lugaru contributors, with extra campaigns by Slib, Jendraz and Philtron R. You play Turner, an anthropomorphic rabbit warrior on a quest for revenge across a rugged 3D island. Combat is fast and physics driven: you chain punches, kicks, reversals and weapon attacks, and use stealth and terrain to pick your fights. It has the main story campaign plus community campaigns. The game is from 2005 in spirit and looks it, but the fighting still feels distinctive. It contains melee violence and blood and suits players aged 16 and over. It is not Lugaru HD, which Wolfire sells separately.
