Hack your way through a dark, dystopian cyberpunk future by writing your own scripts. A programming-based incremental game you can play free in your browser.
Bitburner is made by Daniel Y Xie and a large community of contributors; its Steam page lists Fulcrum Games, Hydroflame and over 250 GitHub contributors. It is a programming-based incremental game with hacking and cyberpunk themes, set in a dark, dystopian future in the year 2077. A built-in tutorial introduces the terminal, and from there you write JavaScript scripts in the in-game editor to hack servers, earn money and grow your character. The game is made with beginners in mind, and in-game documentation plus an API reference help you along. It runs in your browser from the official page, and it is also available free on Steam.
