Hextris

Rotate the hexagon to catch falling coloured blocks and clear matching groups before the stack overflows. A fast, addictive one-more-go browser puzzler.

Hextris is made by Logan Engstrom, Garrett Finucane, Noah Moroze and Michael Yang. It is a fast browser puzzle game: coloured blocks slide in from all six sides towards a central hexagon, and you rotate the hexagon with the arrow keys so that blocks land next to matching colours. Groups of three or more clear for points, and combos keep your streak alive, but if the stack spills past the outer ring the game is over. Speed ramps up steadily, so each run lasts only a few minutes, which makes it ideal for quick breaks. This copy runs fully in your browser with no install. It has been modified from the original only to remove ads, analytics and app-store links; the gameplay is unchanged. Hextris is free software under the GNU GPL v3, and the complete source is in the download.
