Retro top-down racing with pixel art cars, bonuses to boost yourself or slow rivals, and championships to unlock. Supports two-player local split-screen.
Pixel Wheels is created by Aurélien Gâteau. It is a retro top-down arcade racer with pixel art cars and tracks, where you grab bonuses such as missiles, mines and turbo boosts to get ahead or slow down rivals. You can play quick races or work through championships to unlock new tracks and vehicles, and two players can race side by side in local split-screen. Controls are simple and races are short, which makes it a good fit for casual play and couch sessions. The game logic is GPL-3.0-or-later, the rest of the code is Apache-2.0 and the assets are CC BY-SA 4.0.
